My Dear Fellow,

Saturday saw us at Princess Normal's house for dinner and drinks and drinks and drinks.

Dinner was amazing, the Princess's melt-in-the-mouth meatballs followed by a choice of lemon or chocolate mousse. All this washed down with two bottles of Sekt, wine, beer and in L's case quite a lot of gin. She'd gone to the offy beforehand to pick up tonic, but as they didn't have a large bottle she'd bought tons of mini-bottles. When we went to pick her up, she was carrying 3 large bags and clanked prodigiously.

"Christ," said Er Indoors. "Are you planning on moving in with them?"

So we had a very fun evening in the company of Prince & Princess Normal, and Murphy the puppy pictured above. He is a lovely little chap, very sociable and worked the room like a pro. 

All of this was to an 80's soundtrack which you know I love. Naturally, things spiralled out of control and before I knew it we were all singing along to "Super Trouper" which I think may be Princess  Normal's theme song. Certainly we were all feeling like Number One when we left Normal Kingdom at 3am. Although I hear that some of us felt like Number Two when we woke up.
