Reminiscing about the Old Country

Today at the Nicholas Hotel in Beechworth, and the last day of the Celtic Music Festival. We sat at a session with a local family - grandfather (the 89 year old on the right, from Ireland), and the son and granddaughter, neither pictured here. The grandfather (Tom) is enjoying a conversation with one of the musicians from Ireland. Tom, by the way came to Australia as a teenager, left home with some friends, went to London and then on to Australia. One day he left for school telling the next youngest to take care of his younger brothers and sisters, never saying a word to his parents. Sounds like a plot from a book.
