Mortlake post box

The last post box in the UK not to be painted gold is here in Mortlake - surprisingly as it is right by the river and most of our rowers must have a connection here.

Maybe it's because the shrubbery is practically covering the slit - perhaps the Royal Mail has just forgotten about it?
