Too bad I've forgotten most of what I learned about phonetic spelling.

Otherwise, I might have been tempted to make some sort of a comment on different pronunciations on either side of the pond.


Well, I guess they taste good on both sides of any given pond, whether you call them potatoes, spuds, patatas, peruna, Kartoffel...
