Milkcap
Spent most of the afternoon surveying for mud snails and fairy shrimp in some of the 37 ponds on our reserve which has been chosen as a flagship site by the Freshwater Habitats Trust. We weren't successful although we did find water scorpion, and bivalves as well as mayfly, damselfy and dragonfly nymphs. Then I had a walk around the reserve with the spaniel and came across this wonderful group of fungi which I think are one of the milkcaps (lacctarius).
