Zebra Finch

Sadly this pretty finch is not a visitor to  my garden. It is a small seed feeding bird native to Australia and Indonesia.  The children's zoo in Calderglen Country Park has a number of these little birds.

It was a great morning for a walk along the bank of the Calder River ...... bright and sunny but a bit chilly and if the BBC weather forecast is correct I expect tomorrow to be frosty.
