Fall day on the hill

Sorry for another iPhone pic but I knew I wouldn't have time for anything else. The building is the long abandoned Binghamton Inebriate Asylum, apparently one of the first treatment centers for alchohalics in the country. It eventually became the psychiatric center but was abandoned for a new building some decades ago. There has been a lot of effort from groups to find someone to restore it , and it will become the SUNY Upstate Medical Center Binghamton Clinical Campus once restored .It gives them more space and salvages what I understand to be a really beautiful building . The windows are currently being replaced . Sad to say the old beautiful mullioned windows are being replaced with modern rectangles but you can't have everything!
