Noisy Neighbourhood

And what a noisy day it was! It's a good thing I'm almost deaf! Actually - it's been going on for awhile. Our next door neighbour has started an extension - both front and back. So there have been several days of digging. And today the concrete arrived in a big lorry and was poured into the holes. Mum is getting all excited about this and is watching every step very carefully. Why? Apparently - we are going to have the same extension on the front of our house, hopefully to start early next year! Whaaaat? Mum! That will be very disruptive! Are you sure we want to do this?? Was I consulted?

I have learned that Mum always does what she thinks best. I might as well just accept it!

After all that entertainment, we went for a walk this afternoon. One of our neighbours has a big stone 'dog' sitting outside their house and he's always dressed up for Christmas, but this is the first time he's been dressed up for Holloween. We went to say hello, of course. I'm glad that Mum didn't make ME dress up in some ridiculous outfit!

This evening our neighbourhood had their big firework display - a bit early for Guy Fawkes night which isn't until Nov 5th. We don't go anymore because we prefer staying warm at home, but I'm a RARE dog who LOVES fireworks! Thankfully we can see them from our bedroom window and so we stood there in the dark and watched the display. Noisy and beautiful! A perfect Saturday!
