A corn-y one

It's blowing a gale from the north and it's cold, but the sun's shining and that's all that matters.

Off to see The Commitments this afternoon, followed by an early dinner with friends, then back to theirs for tea and cake to celebrate a forthcoming birthday.  Not mine I hasten to add.  As far as mine go, I'm thinking of having one every two years just to slow them down.
