If you go down to the woods today...
"Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail"
Ralph Waldo Emrerson
A grey, grimy morning spent hunched over the computer updating and processing photos, with the promise of a brighter afternoon - so a walk, well a short stroll, is a welcome diversion.
J takes me for a stroll along the Afon Lwyd; on the doorstep but I can't recall ever walking this stretch before. The carved tree stumps that have survived the vandals attentions are very playful and diverting, marking the pathway at intervals and giving me photographic interest [as if it was needed!]. And the colours on the trees across the playing fields, from green through yellow to a deep red, maybe the subject for another day.
A brief detour to the town centre, to pay in a cheque for some headshot photos I did a couple of months ago, and a surprise meeting with J [another one]. We decide it's a good time for a coffee and an hour disappears while we catch up over coffee and Victoria sponge [my staple diet].
