Lying in wait on the forest floor

This tumbled shell of a long dead pine looked mighty creepy in the woods behind the house this afternoon. A bit darker out and it would have been downright scary.

We had an unpleasant surprise last night with a quickly deflating tire. We made it home from the train, called Subaru Roadside Assistance and had the 'donut' spare as we call it, put on the car. I went to our dealer early this morning and they removed the screw in the flat tire and plugged it. I was good to go in under 2 hours with an oil change as well. I then went to the studio and continued work on my latest BIG painting.

This day came in cooler and sunny.

All hands tired of the election and nervous.
