Backlit Pin Oak

I do NOT like pin oaks.  The darn things go into dormancy every fall just like every other hardwood. But they hang on to those dead leaves like the sorry, brown things were made of gold.  Then, all through the rest of the winter, they'll drop just enough leaves to continually keep a small, slippery mess at the bottom of my outside steps.
Still, there's no denying the beauty it's displaying right now.
