Autumn Colour
Clickychick had an appointment in Newcastle today. So we decided to take the whole day. We arrived in Hexham in time for a wander round and then lunch.
We had a walk, as we generally do in the park near the abbey. The autumn colour was beautiful. Of a number shots I decided I liked this one. It was interesting to see a small plaque against an Oak tree which had been planted to commemorate the founding of the Royal Forestry Society in Hexham in 1882 (probably planted about 50 years ago.
Despite a few delays at the appointment all ended well and we struggled out of Newcastle in the evening rush hour traffic.
