Punky muzzle and petrified pine

Aren't these Monkey Puzzles curious things? The bark reminds me of elephant skin. (It also has a trunk, too!) I suppose we have the Victorian plant hunters to thank for such beasts - the tree, not elephants. Just don't plant one in your garden, or introduce elephants...
