Ear - ouch

Ben has a cyst just where the ear joins his neck that gets infected and blows up hugely.. and on a regular basis.  He has needed antibiotics on four occasions over the last year to get rid of it.  The very tender swelling - about 2cm diameter had to be lanced today as it was threatening to take over his face....(according to Ben)...

We now have an appointment to have the cyst removed at our fabulous local GP's surgery, after which hopefully all this agony will stop.  

Very strange for me (now Ben is 18) to have to take a step back with the appointments and arrangements, he's expected to manage this himself though, if he chooses, I can still be there to hold his hand.
