The Neptune, Genoa, Italy
Our last day in Genoa and time to soak up the blue skies and sights of the Old Port…
A visit to the Maritime Museum, donning a hard hat to head down into a submarine, coffee in the sun watching the fishermen at work, wandering along palm tree lined boulevards past gleaming yachts and The Neptune, a ship replica of a 17th-century Spanish galleon, built in 1985 for Roman Polanski's film Pirates…
A final slice of pizza on the steps of the cathedral, before saying goodbye to our cosy apartment on the fourth floor of a 14th century palazzo, deep in the heart of the maze of medieval alleys that is Genoa’s old town…
So arrivederci to Italy and 23°C, and hello to Stansted and 8°C!!
