Connecting Hands

Wat Si Chum is a giant sitting Buddha hidden behind a high wall at Sukhothai Historical Park.
All Buddha statues are revered by the Thais. Note how these young people touch the right hand of this giant Buddha as it is supposed to bring protection to them. The nails on the hand have been covered with gold leaves.
