Frosty morning
I noticed when going to bonfire night parties about 30 years ago that for some reason, the weather always turns clear and cold in the first week of November and then warms up again. I've loosely monitored it ever since and apart from last year when it happened a week early, it has happened as regularly as clockwork. I've no idea why, but I'm sure the meteorologists out there would have a good explanation. It certainly turned colder today and I nipped out first thing to take this shot of the shadows in the field next to us as the sun was rising.
Thanks for all the comments on my picture of the fire yesterday; I'm pleased to say it is lovely and cosy in here now!
