Torch and Paper

I didn't feel especially sprightly today and so I resolved to shoot a semi abstract close up indoors, despite the lovely golden day outside.

I experimented with heaps of different subjects and various kinds of lighting but at the end of the session, I settled upon this, which is a small torch shining onto a piece of white paper. Most of the series was nicely white balanced but for some unknown reason, this frame was somewhat too warm. What the hell. I decided it looked better than the "correct" ones and so I left it as was.

It's a situation such as was once described by Douglas Stewart who said something similar to, "No one knows if something is complete nonsense or not ... until it's out there."
