The Mother Tree

is how my neighbour describes this tree which is a very appropriate description.   It likely came down in a storm many years ago.  A few of the roots remained anchored to the ground and they continued to provide nourishment and in time individual trees grew from the branches.  They are as straight and as tall as the other surrounding trees (extra photo)
