Autumn ink caps

There are ink cap fungi in various stages of decrepitude in the garden at the moment. I got my knees wet hunkering down to take this shot!

The weather was lovely today, sunny and warm. If we'd had a day like this in August I would have been very happy! So strange to have a no-coat day in November.

I liked the blend from green to autumnal orange in this photo, too. I hope the weather stays so benign for our blipmeet on Thursday!
