Yay, Tui Season

The trees are beginning to blossom and that has brought the tui out to feed on the nectar. There were three of them feeding in this tree at work today - and one of them wasn't happy about it. He spent more time trying to chase the others off than he did eating.

I did take rather a lot of photos of them, but this one makes blip today because I noticed that I've shot right through his nostrils to the pink buds behind him - you may need to go large in order to see.

Tuis are likely to feature in a fair few of my blips from now til Christmas - they just fascinate me.
