Mrs Cyclops

Civic duty done

I don't 'get' Halloween.  Knock yourselves out the rest of you, I'm just not bothered.  I've got very few childhood memories of it (maybe a fancy dress party at Guides once?) and I'm scared of ghosts.  So it isn't for me.  Bonfire night is awesome, obvs, but Halloween - no.

(Although I do like the occasional vampire, here's an awesome vampire Hal 'Puttin on the Ritz')

But I've got a kid now and I'm expecting that in the next couple of years he'll want to get involved so to practice for that I spent £2.50 on some festive sweets (eye ball rings and skull lollies) and an attractive bucket that I thought CyclopsJnr would like to play with later.  We had a few trick or treaters round and the sweeties were handed out, so my civic duty is done.
