Not just any Port in a storm
You have to love the Port O' Leith: I think there's an old by-law that states you have to say "ah yes, a wonderful place. So much character." every time it's mentioned.
Personally I find it's like a kebab: not something you could face sober, but with a certain fascination if you've had a drink.
One thing's for sure - it's certainly unique. A friend of mine used to be a regular and would play bridge there one night a week. So far, so civilised. But one time he was in there, four Paraguayan sailors tried to abduct him and smuggle him onto their ship. Now that's character.
