The East (1)

My first visit to Sachsen (Saxony). Very interesting after becoming so familiar with Bavaria. Very different too.

Sunday was about visiting the Meissen porcelain factory. Very enjoyable, as was the coffee & cake afterwards. The first time I've drunk cappuccino from a Meissen cup/saucer!

It's a lovely wee town as well. Some bits are still showing their DDR legacy, but most parts look great. Beautiful in the autumn colours. Wonderful local wine, boar & venison for dinner.
