Art deco history
The stunning India of Inchinnan building near Renfrew is an A listed art deco piece of work with a fascinating history.
The site was used to build airships during the First World War. One of them the R34, made the first transatlantic flight to the US, a journey lasting 108 hours, in 1919.
This building was designed in 1930 and used by India tyres, hence the name. It now houses offices and a very nice restaurant called R34.
