Treat, No Trick

This was our treat tonight--the locals' dinner special on the wharf. In the afternoon we went downtown to watch the kids trick or treating in all the stores. Several streets are closed to traffic and it's always fun to see the innovative costumes and enjoy the festive atmosphere and the novelty of no cars. The surprise this year was the number of people our age who were dressed up, some with grandchildren in tow, but many just there on their own. We are out of there well before dark, when it gets a little edgier as the kids go home and the real goblins come out to play.
