Global Dreaming

Angie was away for 6 weeks in November & December following a slipped disk problem. Initially in great pain she had gone to A&E at Memmingen hospital and been taken in for a few days to get rid of the pain and stabilise her. After release she had been recommended by our GP to go to a specialist in Marktoberdorf. He had put here in to Kaufbeuren hospital for a week to undergo specialist massage treatment as he did not want to operate. Following that she was sent for a 6 week recovery stay at a centre near Füssen, the "hotel" overlooking the famous Neuschwanstein (Disney) Castle. At weekends she was reluctantly allowed home.
Being alone at home but having to work an hour away near Munich, I could cope with doing the cats and chickens but the horses would have been too much so we were lucky to get the offer from friend Alois in our last village to board them at his place. That just left Flash who luckily my boss allowed me to bring to the office.
I shared a room with Tom and Uli who both were exceedingly patient with him (as they were with me on a normal basis) and gave him lots of attention. Generally he was well behaved until Tom introduced him to the office globe - from there on, Flash was no longer to be found under my desk but sitting in the main corridor, firmly fixating the colourful ball.
Thanks tom for sending the photo.
