The Witches' Tree

Monday morning again, and no one really wanted to get up.  Once I was at work, I had a few days’ worth of e-mails to wade through, having been out of the office since last Wednesday.  With a few interruptions along the way, that took me the best part of the morning. I needed to get away from my desk to clear my head so had a wander in the lunchtime sunshine.

The afternoon was quite challenging.  A thirty minute meeting went on for over two hours, which meant that I missed a meeting and then had to go straight into another meeting which went on till after 6pm.  All in all a very long day, by the time I got home.

I have just had a long phone call with a colleague who endured the long afternoon meeting with me.  Neither of us were happy with it – but at least we managed to laugh about things this evening.  Tomorrow is another day, and at least I will be out of the office for part of it.

Here is a spooky story for Halloween (it continues in the extra).  BB’s class has been studying the Roald Dahl book The Witches and they had to write a story based on an element of the book.  He was delighted that his teacher chose his as one of the three best stories which were published on the school website.
