First one I've ever seen!
Sunday 30th October 2016 (backblip)
What a grey day ...... overcast all day with no sunshine .... still it was reasonably mild & dry ...... so we headed off this afternoon to a little nature reserve we've been meaning to have a look at for some time. So pleased we did!
On the way there we saw a Kestrel dive down for it's lunch right beside the car!
Almost the first thing we saw when we arrived at the Brick Pits was this beauty ..... a pair of them actually! Never seen one 'in the flesh' before ...... not sure what they were doing there as they are not native here. Another view as an Extra.
We also saw a Heron, Little Egret, Cormorant, Coots & ducks ..... as well as a Robin & heard lots of little birds twittering in the trees. It might only be a small reserve .... but there was lots of life there! Well worth another visit in the future :-)
Thanks so much for dropping by :-)
