Hampton Lucy Church.

Paid a visit to three old churches in Warwickshire today as part of my ancestry search. I have ancestors that were baptised, married and buried here and at the other church, in Charlecote. ( see extra photos).The Lucy family have owned the land around this area since 1247 and still own a lot of it to this day. William Shakespeare is said to have poached rabbits and deer on the land and was summoned before the magistrates of the day.
