Waking early

Something HH didn’t do today. So I had a leisurely breakfast and once he emerged, took the dogs for their first run of the day while he had his. Now that we’ve discovered her birding instincts, Chacha has to stay in the run or be tied up on a long lead till the nesting season’s over, so to make up for it, the dogs had a long walk morning and afternoon.
 
Then along to the club and I did some work while HH played a few holes and had a couple of beers with the club president while they discussed the course and club politics.
 

Back home to a scratch lunch and catching up with a few things. Very happy to see the Trogon and his mate visiting the nest . It looks as if they’re feeding fledglings, the whole process must be far more advanced than I thought.
