Another Long Day

I thought long and hard about today, a family party in Farnborough or a busy weekend in Falmouth.
Aside from the cost, (£200 for me on my own or £350 for all of us), to attend a party 'up the line' there is Sam's job, working today until 2:30pm and then again at 1130 tomorrow. Joshua has rugby tomorrow which is important to him and he doesn't want to miss one of the few matches that they have.
For me it was the first meeting this morning of the "Falmouth & Penryn Veterans Breakfast Club. We met at the Strand cafe, enjoyed a full English breakfast, some lamp swinging and laughter.
Another day Poppy Selling and I'm starting to feel the effects on my knees and hips but again very proud of Joshua who at fifteen already has a good moral compass.
The evening was spent driving Sam and one of her friends to Boscastle for a Halloween Party. Having dropped them I drove twenty miles back to Wadebridge where I had fish & chips, not particularly nice but filling.
Believing that I was not due to pick Sam up until around 11 the intention was to sit somewhere and read today's paper but instead I thought I'd drive back and wait in the Boscastle car park. Arrived there at nine to find the girls ready to go.
Pleasant surprise, home just after ten in time for MOTD.
