A special couple and a special purple teddy

I had the pleasure of meeting Eve Conway and her husband at the conference dinner. Eve is this year's RIBI president and one of the speakers and guests at our District 1010 event. She is passionate about the End Polio Now campaign that Rotary has been supporting for a number of years. And the job is nearly done with only a handful of cases in the world this year. The conference also saw the launch of End Polio Now ice-cream, purple in colour, made by Rizza's of Huntly with blueberries and the brainchild of the Huntly club. It's yummy and one portion funds one vaccination. See my extra photo.
