Sgwarnog: In the Field

Wood Duck

I wandered down to Dowley Gap, hoping to catch up with the Wood Duck that had been reported there. I don't know if it's the same individual that's been seen over the past few years at various points between Riddlesden and Saltaire, but if it is it was nice to finally catch up with it today.

Elsewhere, there were several juvenile Goosanders along the river, but no sign of Kingfishers today. I enjoyed the autumn colours and the delicate fungi in Hirst Wood (extras).
