A Wet,Wet Day

Four batches of jam later...When the fruit ripens I pick it , top and tail where necessary and pack it all mixed up in the freezer. When such a day as today arrives out come the largest two pans, preserving sugar and I root around in the freezer for those various little bags of fruit. All the batches contain varying amounts of gooseberries, raspberries, currants, strawberries and the odd few bilberries. I think I need to give these pots a better wipe before they go onto the shelf.
The rain today was monsoon-like.

Oh and Colm passed his Leaving Cert exam. That's a relief.
