Charlie

Meet Charlie. He is a 4 year old Southern White Faced Scops Owl, which are native to the southern half of Africa.
Charlie was with three other feathered friends on the Midlands Bird of Prey Rescue stand in Stratford today.
We caught a train into Stratford from Wilmcote, then walked alongside the river before having a coffee outside Carluccio's and then walking along the canal towpath the three miles or so back to Wilmcote. 
Before we left home, we spoke on Skype to our son (in Taipei) to wish him "Happy Birthday" for today. He really liked his birthday presents from us, although one parcel, (which is a book, but don't tell him) has not yet arrived. I'm sure he'll get it this week.  The last time we saw him "in the flesh" on his birthday was on his 18th. Maybe someday..................
