TwelveTrees October: Bradgate Oak

The autumn leaf colour has been pretty good this year and I'd already decided that was what I wanted to feature for my TwelveTrees project in October. The problem was that on the sunny days needed to bring the colour out I was banged up indoors. I fell in love with this ancient Oak in Bradgate Park as soon as I saw it, but my only opportunities to shoot it have been in the flat, grey light we have had so much of. I've tried to rescue the shot but in doing so it's over processed now, the best I could achieve.
