Guarding the catch

I went to visit the folks today. As I rounded a corner of the parking lot I spied this hawk hopping with something in his feet. It was a squirrel and I guess the hawk was trying to get it a little further into the bushes.

We had a nice day which included ice cream sundaes, so overall a good day.
