Following an early(ish) walk down to the old brickworks quarry that only appealed to me and the boys, later on we all took a walk round Ravenscar itself, heading in the opposite direction to Robin Hood's Bay, along the old railway track from the platform of the defunct station and back along the Cleveland Way past the remains of the Second World War Radar Station. My plans for a Captain Beefheart referencing blip were scuppered by the fact that the field with the Radar Station itself was full of cows and the dogs had to wait outside with the girls whilst I went for a poke about on my own. Hence you've got a cow instead with a derelict coastguard Lookout Post in the background. Later on we drove over to meet the my brother-in-law and his family in York for pizza as part of my nephew Joe's birthday celebrations...
