OUCH!

Don't you just hate it when a postman ignores the bell that is right in front of his face and flicks the letterbox instead and thinks that is enough to alert you to his presence and then when you don't open the door because you think the noise is just the postman putting a letter through the letterbox he pushes a card in to say he called and now you need to wait 24hours and then drive to the depot to pick up the post? Grrrrrrrr!

Well, I got up this morning and almost didn't bother going to pick up the post as I wasn't expecting anything....it is a good job I did though, as it contained my train tickets. I've never had to sign for them before. 

I decided to go into town to see what was going on with all the 'Hallowe'en in the City' malarky. I knew there was a ten foot high robotic spider and I quite fancied seeing it. I saw this guy having the final touches to his zombie make up being added. The artist daubing him in fake blood is Shaune Harrison who worked on the Harry Potter films, amongst other things. It had taken him two hours to do this zombie. 

Pat joined me in town and we went on a spider hunt...to no avail. But, we did see other spooky goings on and we had a cuppa in the Cathedral Cafe, then we had a mammoth meander about the streets involving some serious people watching, before heading home. It was a shame we missed the spider, but it was a fun afternoon.
