Quick reunion

The plan had been that Izzy, who's now based in London and studying at LSE, would come and visit Abi at lunchtime but in the end Abi was discharged in the morning while Dan and I were travelling up from my folks'.

I told Iz not to worry about it but she's a woman of her word and wanted to make sure that she saw Abi. So it was that we had a quick ten minute reunion on the square outside Euston station before we headed back north and home. 

(I have to say that Abi looks incredibly bonny here. You wouldn't think that twenty-four hours earlier she was in recovery after a four hour operation. You can make out the swelling on the side of her face and just see the plaster covering the stitches on her neck.)
