I've never seen Star Wars!

You will probably have heard the Radio 4 programme of the title above. Well today our good friend A had one of those moments. He had never walked behind a waterfall before. It was a delight to see his joy. At one point he was jumping up and down with glee.

We were at Ashgill Falls en route to the source of the River South Tyne. When you achieve your goal there is a striking sculpture and when you look through the hole in it, you can see the actual trickle of the source. There is a constant water flow here, unlike the source of the North Tyne which bubbles up over a section of moorland.

We had a great walk and the rain stayed off until we were nearly back to the cars.
