WHAT A DAY....

... for many years now our Prostate Cancer Support Group has assisted the Windsor Canoe Club with their yearly "classic paddle" some 111 kilometres overnight along the Hawkesbury River.

Our role has been to scrutineer the canoes, paddle craft, dragon boats and skift, to make sure they have all the necessaries allowing a safe paddle overnight.

A BIG job, with this year nearly 400 craft setting off.

The major part of funds raised (last year over $150,000) goes to the Arrow Foundation The Arrow Bone Marrow Transplant Foundation is a charitable foundation funding medical research into the cause, prevention, treatment and cure of leukaemia and other diseases treatable by bone marrow and stem cell therapy.


A good day had by all, and as I put this up suppose they are well into the race paddle. Pleased it is them not me!!!
