Sea field Sunset
I usually take the dogs for their afternoon walk around about five o'clock and this week the early evening skies have been displaying some interesting sunsets. However, they have been difficult to photograph because the sun has still been above the tree line and resulted in a load of photographs in which the highlights were blown and unrecoverable in post-processing. Today was the first occasion on which the sun was mainly behind the trees and allowed me to get a reasonable overall exposure even though that meant underexposing by a couple of stops. The swan and the water reflection all added to the overall ambience. It's strange to think that next week this will all be happening an hour earlier because of the loss of summertime.
