Homespun Charms

Not quite a Redbreast - yet!

I heard this youngster before I spotted him. Then he hopped all the way down the wall, I had to use zoom so clarity is compromised but I couldn't resist. We seem to see very little of the robins over the 'Summer' so it was good to see that a family have probably nested close by.
The morning was beautiful, sunshine and clear skies when I drove to Thirsk for my Oxfam shift. Got off to a good start and went on to be a very cheerful morning. One of the customers often comes to see me for a chat. She confirmed that she would definitely be 98 next week, she was a year out last birthday but now she has caught up! What a treasure.
Had a swim afterwards, a good time to go it appears as there were only 4 people in. After quick lunch decided to bake using up some ripe bananas. Me and Mary Berry got together and tried something different. The proof of the pudding as they say, we'll see!
Out to see my friend this evening and taking a bottle of wine, always a convivial evening. Weather changed dramatically, pouring now.
