Road to Amalfi ( shot from the bus)

I mentioned the scary road between Sorrento and Amalfi earlier in the week, this time we did not attempt to drive it! The bus drivers on this route must be either nuts or masochistic to drive here every day. Again it took a lot longer than we thought, 2 hours each way, to do the trip, not helped by a burst water main in one of the towns which effectively stopped the traffic for quite some time. The buses are so packed I had to sit on the front step as I get car sick and no one at the front was giving up their seat for this poor old pensioner! We had a great walk up the Valle delle Ferriere behind Amalfi to stretch our legs.

Extra is another shot from the bus up to St. Agata from Sorrento (yes we got on the wrong bus) of the evening light on Vesuvius and Pompei at its base.
