Sign 'O' The Times
Sadly, this is our local shopping centre at five to twelve this morning; empty of people and shops. There is one shop on the top level (a coffee shop), and on the lower level a supermarket and a chemist. For a development that has been open since May last, it's a pretty depressing picture. The rent on these lots are meant to be sky-high, so the start-up costs for anyone wanting to open a buisness here will be equally costly. People just can't afford to go it alone these days, so I fear this shopping centre will soon be a gallery of closing down signs. Then will come the litter, the graffitti, and it will be another empty development, a permament reminder of these troubled times. On a cheery note, I got the zipper fixed on my favoutire jacket today, so it's not all bad, and I'm off to the Radisson Hotel tonight for Christmas drinks.
Have a jolly old weekend, why don't you?
