Teal (female)Anas crecca

Another unexpected new bird! At first I thought this was a female Mallard, but it is actually a female Teal! Mallards have blue wing patches and are larger. This Teal is proudly displaying her green wing patch and a little bit of white to her underwings. This small lagoon is really becoming a fabulous place to watch all sorts of migratory birds! Who will stop off next! Another beautiful bird to add to Birds of Oman.
