Wednesday: The Quarry

It was a beautiful day today so, given that I have a day off (thank you, Assumption Day!), we took a drive out for lunch.  We went to the Samobor National Park where they have some great rustic restaurants set in lovely surroundings.

We did start to get slightly hysterical when our lunch took over two hours to arrive but it was worth it in the end.

We passed this stone quarry (at least, that is what I think it is but other suggestions welcome) on the way there and back......I think it has a sort of derelict beauty about it.

We have a friend arriving for the weekend tomorrow so lots of snacks, treats and adventures ahead!
